Ivan MAGRIN-CHAGNOLLEAU is an artist philosopher.

Ivan is dedicated to academic research and teaching, particularly in art and philosophy. He is affiliated with the CNRS and currently works in the PRISM laboratory in Marseille, a joint laboratory between the CNRS and Aix-Marseille University, which studies the relationship between art and science. He is also affiliated with Chapman University in California. He is particularly interested in the creative process, the link between art and spirituality, and the importance of rehabilitating love as an essential value.

He is also dedicated to the creation of art, particularly for film, theater, photography, music and writing. He has been an actor, singer, director, and author in some fifty projects in theater and film. He has also practiced photography since childhood and has participated in several biennials and group exhibitions. He published his first photography books in 2017, Muir Woods Spirits, and in 2020, Handscapes.

Several of his video artworks have also been exhibited in biennials and group exhibitions. He also composes regularly for dance and film. His first album as a composer is scheduled for release in 2022.
